This large tradiional Xhosa blanket shawl is decorated with black shoelace braiding, beading and bells, also called clocks. It is made in the uMbhaco style using mother-of-pearl buttons, and we can make the shawl in any ibayi soze fabric colour.

Please note:
- Traditionally the Bhayi is worn together with a Mnyotho (skirt), Skhwenkweni (bra shawl), Ncebetha (apron) and Faskoti (apron) to complete the full isiXhosa traditional dress called an uMbhaco set. The full uMbhaco set is available to purchase online too.
- Da Gama iBayi fabric is available in the colours white, cream, red, turqoise blue, black, mustard and orange. We can also make this item in royal blue but the fabric is not from Da Gama.
